This summer Friedheim will be holding a showcase for our Zechini range of specialist hard case book binding equipment. We understand that customers are busy, so the showcase is being held between June 10 and July 19 in our Hemel Hempstead showroom, allowing a long enough period for customers who either want to get into short run hard case high quality book production, want to streamline their workflow, or even customers who have been producing books but need to increase their capacity and bring more work in-house.
Stuart Bamford, Friedheim’s National Sales manager for Post-Press says “Unlike most open houses, we’ve made sure that we can give as many of our customers enough time to see the kit– we’re trying to give an honest representation of the capabilities of the machines and not simply rush as many bodies through the door. The visits will be done through appointments with our sales force to ensure they get the most out of the trip.”
On show will be the Zechini X-Range, which includes the Roby Junior 2 case maker, X-case casing-in machine with glue pump and automated cleaning and the X-Forming book press and joint forming machines. We will have pre-printed cases and book blocks so visitors can see how easily and quickly the machines will go through the products.
In the UK, growing markets in print are few and far between, but in 2018 UK hard case book production increased by 7% and became a £2.5 Billion industry. Our showcase will help visitors realise the potential of the increasing growth of the market. The machines themselves are low cost, versatile and have a small footprint making them ideal for high quality short runs, allowing Zechini to become the perfect choice for the industry.
In the showroom we will also have the latest version of the Amiga 52 thermal laminator & Wohlenberg 115 being demonstrated to show visitors how to take advantage of bringing embellishment in-house and how adding value to print can turn a simple finishing process into a profit centre.
