With the manual handling of paper and cardboard stacks being a particularly back breaking and expensive process, Bauman offers a variety of pile turners as part of its extensive range of paper and materials handling equipment.  Designed to save time, reduce costs and eliminate the physical effort involved, there is a great variety of requirements that today’s pile turners have to meet.

Baumann’s BSW range of pile turners is available in many different versions covering a variety of formats and capacities, with fully automatic, semi-automatic and mobile all on offer.  BSW fully automatic pile turners are equipped with an operator panel with an uncoded text display, which can also be delivered with a touch screen if required. Depending on the version being used, up to nine different programmes can be selected by the operator. The automated process commences when the programme is started. For added flexibility, the operator can assist the programme and optimise the process with having to interrupt the programme’s set parameters. Different versions of BSW fully automatic pile turners can be supplied to include the following features:

- Motorised turning
- Motorised turning and aeration
- Motorised turning, aeration and vibration (with adjustable alignment stop)

As with all of Baumann’s BSW range of pile turners, the semi-automatic version boasts a high quality, solid and compact construction, comfortable operation, is fast and reliable, and offers an excellent cost benefit ratio. BSW semi-automatic pile turners can also be equipped with these additional options:

- Aeration
- Aeration and vibration
- Motorised turning, aeration and vibration (with adjustable alignment stop)

Baumann’s mobile pile turner (designated the BSW 3) provides the possibility of turning the pile manually and transporting it to wherever it is required within the company premises! By its design it also combines the functions of a pile turner with a fork lift truck.  The BSW 3 is equipped with a powerful battery for long operating times, and for ease of charging the battery, a charging unit has been integrated into the pile turner.  If larger piles are required to be turned, then these can be handled by the Baumann BSW 3 mobile MAXI.
