At this year’s Print Show, Friedheim International sponsored the Printer’s Bazaar in a bid to educate printers and marketeers in the use of adding value to their finishing. To make their printed products a viable commodity and expand their imagination with new finishing techniques.
Over the course of the three days, there was an influx of customers eager to see the samples and special effects we had set out on display. With demonstrations running on the Komfi Delta 52 automatic thermal laminator, the Zechini Roby Junior 2 case maker and the new Zechini Iota end paper machine.

One such customer who happened to also have a stand at the show have in fact bought the Zechini Roby Junior 2 we had on display. Precision Colour have also bought the new Zechini Roby Zero, Zechini’s latest case maker operated fully by a simple joystick control. Due to its extremely simple and fast changeover the Roby Zero setup casemaker is the ideal solution to produce book cases in very short runs.
Lots of interest in the Zechini range bindery equipment for short run books, especially from the digital customers
Stuart Bamford, National Sales Manager for Post-Press solutions said, “from what I saw, and of the reports, we met many of our customers on the floor of the show, all looking for the next item on their spending cycle. We met some new customers on the stand too, which will be interesting to follow their progress in the following weeks. What really surprised me was the sheer number of people who weren’t actually printers but were looking at all the special effects we had on display. Lots of marketing people and the creatives behind them, looking at all our displays and asking interesting questions on ideas that they had themselves.”
